HEY, I’M KARAN

Hello! I am Karan Chopra. I am a Baker, a Father of two, A Businessman, A New Blogger and also An upcoming Food Photographer. I am not from any of the metro city. Infact I am from ‘The Land of Gurus’, ‘The Golden City’………………. yes you guessed it right ‘Amritsar’ , Punjab

I graduated in Hotel Management in 2010 from IKG PTU Jalandhar. I went to study Philosophy in 2006, and that was the time when i found my love and passion for food. I left my course and went to study Hotel management. At that time i had no idea that it will grow into something big and will become such an important part of me.

How Does it Start???

• I started baking in 2010 when i was in last semester of my graduation. As i was already passionate about cooking and i was one of the brightest student in my college, i develop my love for baking when a baker came to teach baking in the institute.
• I still remember the day when i baked my first cake, it was a lemon cake and i didn’t have much knowledge about baking then, so i baked my cake in a microwave and it became so hard after cooling that it was impossible to cut. But everyone appreciated my effort and i never looked back and i kept on learning.
• I never thought of baking as my profession, the credit for this goes to my HOD in college who offered me to teach baking to my juniors. That ignited a passion in me for not only baking for myself but also to share my skills with others in form of teaching.
• Finally, a day arrived in May 2017 when i decided to share my baking skills with the world through Karan’s Bake House.
